It's come to my attention that some parents are upset that Deadpool movie is rated R and not PG 13. There are also some parents who have brought their children to see Deadpool and then complain that the movie is not appropriate for children.
Now I'm by no means a parenting expert, but I do believe in good old common sense. Maybe you should check the rating of a movie and read a review or two before bringing your child to see it? All the promotion for Deadpool has made it crystal clear that this is not a kids movie.
As for the people who started a Change.org petition for a PG 13 version of Deadpool, am I asking for a rated R version of Finding Dory? NO. Maybe tell little Ryder that he'll have to wait until he's a bit older to see the movie.
You are wise beyond your age.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I hate people.
ReplyDeleteMe too
DeleteThat's funny because my husband was just commenting yesterday that Deadpool had made like 125 million dollars (or something like that) the first weekend it was out. More than Star Wars and more than any other Superhero movie. He says it's because of the R rating. But yes, it's R for a reason, so the kiddies should be left home.
ReplyDeleteAnd if a parent does decide to bring them, well that's fine but then don't complain after. I personally would leave the kids at home.
DeleteYikes, its pathetic.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Complaining about something that is made very clear.
DeleteAwesome Movie (Just sneak in like I used to kiddos :-) )
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing it tonight! I can't wait! And yes, listen to Matthew kids and sneak yourselves in and don't tell your parents. Then they can't complain and everyone is happy!
DeleteOmg some people!
ReplyDeleteMy 22 year old saw it last week. They carded him - ha! He needs to do something about his baby face
