Freeunion

I left out a part of my weekend. I'm sorry guys. I know you live for my blog updates.

Saturday night was my 10 year high school reunion. I didn't go. The ticket was $75 and I had no desire to pay that much to see people that I have no desire to talk to. Germana then had the brilliant idea to have free reunion or FREEUNION. We picked a bar in our home town and invited everyone that we were friends on facebook who graduated with us.

We picked Friday night so we weren't competing with the actual reunion. We had a nice group of people and reminisced about our house masters and eating french fries and cookies for lunch. Our school lunches were the best. Oh, would you like to ladle your own cheese on your mac and cheese? Why yes I would.

It was fun, it was free (besides paying for drinks and food) and now I feel old.

I swiped this picture of Germana and I from her facebook at the FREEUNION.

  1. $75 is insane! Ours was $25 and I still was iffy on if I wanted to pay that much.

    1. No way I was paying $75 and then I'd have to buy another ticket if my boyfriend was going.

  2. If it makes you feel less old, this year was my 10 year *college* reunion. I didn't go either.

  4. $75?!?!!! Holy poop, that is absurd.

I don't know if I would pay that much to go to my HS reunion. It seems like a high price to pay to have my self esteem stomped on.

  5. Getting kicked out of our HS reunion FB group was totally worth it! Gregg let me back in, let's see how long before they notice! haha ;)

Now I want lunch and feels so sub-par that I can't ladle my own cheese!

  6. Ha!

I also didn't go to mine! My 10 year was around the same time as yours (I think they made it for the 24th). I didn't go because of 1) price, 2) none of my friends were going, 3) I was in Southern California anyways for Thanksgiving and not in Northern, so I wasn't in the area. Aside from my friends not going, a turnoff was definitely the price as well. I thought MINE was expensive ($40-50), but yours is way more! A freeunion sounds like such an awesome idea. Maybe on my 20th I'll do that with my friends and try to entice other old HS acquaintances. lol. Our other idea was to just wait outside the restaurant that the reunion was being hosted at and get freebie catch-ups without having to pay before people went inside.
