Why do I even buy cat toys?

I don't know why I bother buying my cats actual cat toys because they like to make their own toys.

This would be Derek's "red neck" hat from Halloween. It was not on the floor but Bosco wanted it to be so he made it happen. He was flinging that hair all over the place.

Other things the cats like to play with:

dead leaves
any type of string
edamame
elastics (rubber bands)
q-tips (Bosco's favorite. He goes nuts)
paper
imaginary things that don't exist but they swear they see

I'm now adding red neck hat with fake hair from Halloween costume to the list.

  1. Ha! It's like how kids like playing in cardboard boxes (just like cats, actually...)

  2. I bought one of those cardboard scratcher things for my cats after you posted about it, and they like using it as a pillow, or to get high from the catnip instead and still scratch shit! Total fail.

My boy cats dont play as much as my girl does but they love hair bands, q-tips, bouncy balls, anything plastic and hard, and invisible things as well.

    1. My cats love to sleep on it and use it as a pillow. Big weirdos.

  3. One morning when Ruby was a puppy, I woke up with a terrible hangover and heard a weird noise. There she was, playing with my ibuprofen bottle that I had set by my bed. (It was closed, so she didn't eat any, thank God). When I realized that I was letting my dog play with a pill bottle for fun, I decided perhaps I shouldn't have children. Pets are funny!

  4. Dude, my cat loves hair ties. He’s addicted. I can’t take my hair down without him eye balling me like a junkie.

Also, your blog makes me laugh, and you’re awesome. I’ve nominated your blog for the Liebster Award. Check it out http://bishopandrook.blogspot.com/2012/11/cheers-to-liebster-award.html
