Light dawns over Marblehead

It only recently dawned on me what the song Only the Good Die Young by Billy Joel is actually about. I had the song stuck in my head and I started singing it out loud and suddenly it hit me, "Wait a minute, this song is about Billy Joel trying to deflower a Catholic virgin!" I always thought it was an oddly upbeat song about someone who died young. I brought this up at taco Tuesday last night and someone exclaimed, "Oh my God I've heard that song played at funerals!" I guess I'm not the only one then.

Come out Virginia, don't let me wait
You Catholic girls start much too late

But sooner or later it comes down to fate.
