I've been on a mission to find the best Chinese food in my neighborhood. So far it hasn't been going too well. I've found two places that are ok so I decided to order somewhere new last night. It was gross. The spare ribs had a funky taste, the chicken fingers were dry and the pork fried rice was spit back out in a napkin. It was that bad. If you can't even get your rice right that's a problem.
So the search continues. Maybe I'll just cave and ordered from Golden Temple. It's really good, just more expensive than your average Chinese takeout. But I did throw out a whole order of pork fried rice and spare rips. What a waste!
What are your requirements? Do they need to be within walking distance of your place or deliver?

DeleteYou should try Shanghai Gate in Allston. It's more authentic than most Chinese take out and they deliver. I have been there a few times in the past, and the food was excellent. The last time I was there it wasn't as good, but it's still worth a shot. Unfortunately, there isn't much in terms of good Chinese delivery around Brighton/Brookline.
ReplyDeleteOh and if you like Thai I HIGHLY recommend S&I Thai in Allston. They also deliver and are on my top 2 list of Thai food in Boston.
