Moved in

We're all moved into the new apartment and as you can see by this blog post we're hooked up to the internet again. Oh how I missed you cable and internet. I'm watching Vertigo on the Sundance channel which I've actually never seen.

The move went well despite a few small hiccups like running out of packing tape and dropping the futon on my foot (my foot still hurts from that). The movers came on time and I didn't have to have anyone towed from my reserved spot for the moving truck. I should have taken a picture of my street. It was complete chaos. Moving trucks and cars were parked everywhere so you couldn't even drive a car down the street. I'm just glad it's all over.

Bosco stayed at grandma's house (aka with my mom) while we moved. He's back now and busy exploring the new place. He's making sure to rub his face on every corner of the apartment.

So far the new apartment has been nice and quiet. No sound of college kids partying at all hours of the night, no loud music blaring. I can actually sleep! We're also very close to a Whole Foods which is convenient. I hate lugging groceries on the T. I just wish Whole Foods wasn't so expensive.

There's still a lot of unpacking to do and some furniture to buy but at least we're officially moved in. Tonight we're going to have dinner on the waterfront to take a break from all of the unpacking and cleaning. I wish I could just Mary Poppins all our stuff away. I'd have to actually be able to snap for that to work though.

  1. Moving house is exhausting. I hope your foot fells better real soon, and that you enjoy your new home!

  2. Happy housewarming! Futon foot does not sound like a good thing, but glad you're all moved in.

  3. Congrats on the successful move! And for finally being a space that's not completely dominated by college students. It does take a long time to unpack properly, but a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down... ;-)
