Today is a weird day. Am I invisible and is someone playing Jumanji?

I  started off this Monday morning on the wrong foot by accidentally washing my hair with my body wash. Not the end of the world but it took a while to wash the body wash out of my hair.

This morning in the elevator I walk in and head to the back like I usually do since I'm on the top floor. Some woman comes in, walks towards me and then turns around right in front of me to face the front of the elevator. I try to back up because I prefer to leave more than a half inch buffer between myself and the person in front of me, but I really don't have any place to go since I'm already in the back of the elevator. I step to the side for some breathing room. Am I invisible? Can you guys see me? I feel like that Mindy Kaling commercial.

Weird thing #2

Found on the way to the ladies' restroom. Who put it there? How long will it stay there? Is it a real or fake plant? Is someone playing Jumanji without me? So many questions, so little answers.

  1. I'd be worried there's a camera in that plant! And that lady on the elevator - so weird!

    1. I didn't think of that! At least it's not in the ladies room, then I'd be really concerned.

  2. Maybe the woman in the elevator really liked the smell of your body washed/shampooed hair??
The plant is there to make you look.

  3. I hate close stand-ers. I got cornered by our boss near his desk while he was working on something on his computer. I ended up literally hugging the wall and sucking in quite a bit til I could escape.

At least it wasn't your motor oil.

I know that people from different areas have different ideas about how much space around one's body is appropriate, so maybe the woman was from a place that leaves less space, or maybe she had something on her mind and didn't notice how close she was. In any event, what she did almost surely had nothing to do with you.

    1. Motor oil or nair would both have been much worse!

I'm sure it wasn't me, but it was very strange. I'm not used to it.
