We went swimming.
We had ice cream.
We saw a fish frying seafood underwater.
How does he get his hat to just float there?
We saw lake sunsets.
And now I'm back home wishing someone would buy me a lake house.

Today is a weird day. Am I invisible and is someone playing Jumanji?
I started off this Monday morning on the wrong foot by accidentally washing my hair with my body wash. Not the end of the world but it took a while to wash the body wash out of my hair.
This morning in the elevator I walk in and head to the back like I usually do since I'm on the top floor. Some woman comes in, walks towards me and then turns around right in front of me to face the front of the elevator. I try to back up because I prefer to leave more than a half inch buffer between myself and the person in front of me, but I really don't have any place to go since I'm already in the back of the elevator. I step to the side for some breathing room. Am I invisible? Can you guys see me? I feel like that Mindy Kaling commercial.
Weird thing #2
Found on the way to the ladies' restroom. Who put it there? How long will it stay there? Is it a real or fake plant? Is someone playing Jumanji without me? So many questions, so little answers.

The Ouija ring worked!
Last night I found a ghost in my beer!
And a dinosaur?.....
And a dinosaur?.....
Things are getting a little weird with this ring.
Thrift store finds
I went to the thrift store the other day looking for a sweater. I didn't actually find a sweater but I did find other fun things.
I dunno I liked the cover and the title. It's also "Highly recommended!" by Robin Hobb (whoever that is)
Hand crafted mug!
Thank you EH for your lovely work.
I did not buy this item but I had to take a picture.
What is happening here?

Being a woman on the internet is FUN
Things are starting to get a bit weird around here.
I got a message on the facbook page for my blog. I got very excited because no one really messages me on there. I should have known better. Here is the conversation.
I was tempted to ask if he was in jail but decided to leave it alone. If you're wondering how much you'd have to pay me to take a picture in tights for you my fee is one million dollars.

An update on the strange guy who approached me in the mall
A couple days ago I posted about the weird encounter I had with a guy in a mall. Well I have an update for you. I was walking through the mall last night trying to find a top for New Years Eve when I saw the same guy talking to another girl. As I walked by I could hear him pretty much saying the same thing that he said to me.
You guys I am very offended here. I thought I was special and "artistic". Turns out I'm just another girl in the mall who happened to walk by this guy so he decided to use his "smooth moves" on me. I guess I'll have to stop telling people I'm an artist and move on with my life.

How to annoy me and not get my phone number
I was walking through the mall today on my way home from work (I cut through the mall to try to avoid the rain) and I see out of the corner of my eye someone running up next to me. I think he must be asking me for directions or that I dropped something so I take out my headphones to hear what he's saying to me.
"I just had to stop you." He says. "I saw you walking in the mall and I felt like you had this artistic energy so I had to stop and talk to you. Are you artistic?"
I was a little taken off guard and had to think for a second about what he was saying. I get in the zone with my headphones on and I didn't expect anyone to stop me.
"Um no I'm not really artistic." I tell him.
"Oh are you sure, because I just got this feeling that you were and you know I'm artistic so I can sense when someone else is and you seem like you'd be interesting to talk to."
I can tell he's trying to think of ways to keep the conversation going.
"Thank you but really I'm not very artistic." I tell him.
The way the conversation goes next is very odd and I can tell that he's saying what he thinks will keep me talking.
"Do you have any hobbies? You know things you like to do outside of work?" He asks.
"I blog." I say.
"Oh well I write! I like to write poetry and short stories, I could tell you were artistic." He says.
"Yea, it's not really like that...I don't write poetry or short stories really." I tell him.
At this point I'm trying to think of a way out of this conversation without being too rude. In general I try to be nice to people but I'm getting really annoyed here. I feel like this guy is trying some Pick Up Artist crap and I'm not in the mood.
He then starts bombarding me with questions. Where did I go to school, did I grow up around here where do I live now? I tell him I'm sorry but I really have errands to run and I have to pick up a prescription. His next question:
"What prescription?"
"I'm not telling you that, that's personal!" He can tell I'm annoyed.
"Oh I mean you seem in a rush to get it." He says trying to back track.
"Yes, I want to get it and finish my errands so I have to go." I tell him.
"Well maybe I could get your number and we could text?" He asks with his phone in his hand.
"I'm sorry but I have a boyfriend."
"Oh no, I mean we could just meetup for coffee and talk. You just seem interesting"
"I'm sorry I don't give my number to strangers. Have a good day." I say and walk away as quickly as possible.
Very strange encounter. It's a work in progress, bringing out my inner bitch. I can be too nice sometimes but I'm getting better at being more vocal when I'm uncomfortable. Even if I was single I would not be giving that guy my number.

A bug committed suicide on my face
I was having dinner last night, minding my own business, when a fly flew right into my face and fell on the table dead. Gross and weird! In other bug news a spider has made a home in my car. I see his web all over my dashboard but the spider is nowhere to be found. If he ambushes my face I might have a heart attack.
My mom and I brought Mr. Binx back to our old vet this morning. The vet I had been going to in Brookline is just way too expensive. The old vet is further away but cheaper and just better in general. Mr. Binx needs dental surgery again, which we expected. I told this vet that the vet in Brookline charged for the follow up after the dental surgery. She said that they don't do a follow up since they use dissolvable stitches. I told her that my previous vet did not and took them out at the follow up appointment. She said that they never do that if the animal is awake especially when they can use dissolvable stitches. I was pretty upset about this. Just another way for the expensive vet to make even more money. I'm going straight to yelp! *shakes internet fist*
Now that I got that out of my system it's time for pizza! Homemade Ginny special (no sauce, lots of cheese).

I guess I'll take it as a compliment
So apparently there's a janitor at my work who has a crush on me. He asked my co-worker Lilly if I was married. She told him I had a boyfriend. He knows my name but we can't figure out how. I may say hello passing by but I've never introduced myself. I told Derek not to worry, I have no plans on leaving him for a short, middle aged janitor.
As a side note Melissa asked that I clarify that she "did not abandon my bff" she is moving back in March.

The British are coming AGAIN
For the past week or two I've been receiving very cryptic phone calls at work. The person is always British but sometimes it's a man and sometimes it's a woman. The phone call goes something like this.
I'm "the American" in this conversation in case you couldn't figure that out.
The Brit: HELLO! Is Mr. ______ there?
The American: I'm sorry he's in a meeting, can I take a message?
The Brit: Can I ask you something?
The American: Sure....
The Brit: How many people work in your office?
Me: About 20 people-ish.
The Brit: BRILLIANT! Good bye.
Each time they call they ask me a different question about our office. I'm pretty sure they're compiling information to take back Boston. They sound so cherry you'd never expect it!

Plastic fetuses and keyboard jams
I decided to walk to work this morning. My legs are a bit upset with me as we haven't done a 50 minute walk in a while but I told them to calm it down we could use the exercise.
I passed by two woman outside Planned Parenthood. One was handing out cards and crosses, the other was playing the keyboard that was resting on the hood of her car. They had propped up a piece of poster board with baby dolls in fake plastic wombs glued to it. Very different than the projects I did on poster board in school.
I continued my walk and really wanted water. I didn't plan this very well. I did at least wear sensible shoes.
When I made it into work I told my co-workers at the front desk that I walked all the way here. I need someone to tell me "good job".
I also texted Derek to let him know since he worked from home today and I walked alllllll the way to work. I'm sure he will point out that I didn't have to walk to work and he's right but someone missed out on plastic fetuses and keyboard jams and it wasn't me.
How was your commute today?

My subconscious is telling me leg warmers
I dreamed last night that I was at a craft fair and this woman kept buying all the sparkly leg warmers. I was very upset because I wanted the sparkly leg warmers.
So now I'm wondering if I need to buy a pair of sparkly leg warmers to satisfy some unfulfilled need. My legs do get cold and I was pretty mad in my dream that there were no leg warmers left.
