Is this my new artisan cheese shopping dress?

This dress is perfect! The more I stare at it the more I want it. But it's a $298.00 cocktail dress! I'd have to wear this dress multiple times a week to justify buying it, but where am I going to wear it? When I go to Whole Foods? Where's my organic produce and artisan cheese dress! If anyone would like to purchase this dress for me I promise to take a photo of myself eating fancy cheese in it.

I would also like to mention that the one and only review said it's great for women who don't have much going on in the boob department. Clearly this dress was made for me.

Price: $298.00

Two Hamilton tickets or one octopus end table that really ties a room together.

Hamilton is coming to Boston and I really want to see it so I got all excited when I saw that the tickets were finally for sale. Then I saw the price of the cheapest tickets.

483 PER TICKET

Derek's response: "Fuck that I'm out. For something that is gone forever after an hour and a half, huge waste of cash. Rather save for house."

Sigh....I know he's right. We have better things to spend our money on like a house or this amazing Octopus end table!

It has a solid 5 star rating and has glowing reviews such as "for people who like octopuses" and "it really tied our room together". I'm not sure how an octopus ties a room together but I believe you Katie.

Now I just have to convince Derek.

Me: look what I found! Pretty sweet right? And only the cost of two Hamilton tickets.

Derek Cutler: how lovecraftian

Me: There's only two left. According to Amazon we better hurry .

Derek: why are you looking at end tables?

Me: Amazon thought I would like this and I agree. So technically the end table was looking for me.

I mean I didn't get a no...

Sometimes you just need a knitted wizard in your life

I came across this wizardly gentleman on my way to the bathroom at a going away party I attended last night. This is one of the best knitted items I've ever seen in my entire life. I mean his wand is a knitting needle you guys! I offered to sell a kidney or my soul to obtain him but alas he was not for sale. I've searched etsy for "knitted wizards" but so far I have found nothing like my friend here. At least I have this photo to remember him by.

I should also let you know this house had a "fairy room". This is the house of dreams.

So long Mary Poppins bag

I love big bags. I like being able to have everything I need with me at all times. Who knows when you might need a Pepto or some hand sanitizer? I like to be prepared.

I recently hurt my back while exercising. I think this is a sign that I'm not meant to exercise. It's like that time I burnt my mouth on a Lean Cuisine, I totally should have had a burger. I can't even pin point a specific moment where I hurt my back, I just woke up the next morning after lifting weights with a horrible pain in my upper back between my shoulders. It's been 8 days and I'm still in pain.

If my back is going to heal I need to rest it and not put extra stress on it. My purse weighs a ton. I'm pretty sure if anyone tried to steal it they would fall over with the unexpected weight. I have come to terms with that fact that I need to lighten my bag load. No more Mary Poppins bag. Go see someone else if you need a coat rack or a plant.

I just have to interject and state that I was totally Michael Banks and could not snap as a child. I can sort of snap now but it's still pretty pathetic. I would totally get stuck in the closet with doors opening and closing.

It's been a little bit of an adjustment not having all the things with me but I will admit it has been helping my back. Those coat racks are heavy.

I think this means that I have to do some shopping for cute little wristlets right?

Dooney & Bourke Chevron large slim wristlet

It's for my health! I should start a kickstarter "money for cute wristlets to save Ginny's back."

Window shopping is depressing

I have no idea how much this dress is (the one on the mannequin wearing a fur neck brace), but I can guarantee I can't afford it.

Gah! I want it so bad though. It's gold and shimmery and would be perfect for New Years Eve. But seriously, what is up with the fur neck brace? I bet it's the most expensive thing in the window too.

To the right of the dress of my dreams are some amazing black boots.

There's a little tassel on the zipper and cute little studs going up the back. I'm sure these lovely boots are also out of my price range.

Damn you Lord & Taylor and your tempting window displays. I'm not even going to call it window shopping anymore. I'm renaming it window dreaming.

P.S. Mannequin is spelled like that? I seriously had to google it because I could not for the life of me remember how it was spelled.
